CURRICULUM VITAE - OSCAR EHRENSPERGER

Oscar’s mission is to encourage Christians and to win others for Christ Jesus.

Oscar was born in Wynberg, Western Cape, South Africa on the 28th October 1948. He matriculated from the Newcastle High School, Natal, in 1965. He is married to Erica.The couple have two daughters, Isabella and Ilse. The family lives in Mossel Bay since 2003.

After being employed by the Department of Justice for seven years, Oscar studied at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, where he received the degrees of BA and LL.B. in 1976 and 1978. Oscar then practiced as an attorney in private practice for ten years in Pietermaritzburg until 1990, when he was called to a full time gospel singing career.

Oscar’s ministry is Interdenominal in various Afrikaans and English churches. He also ministers at various Renewal Congresses,Conferences,Outreaches,men's and/or ladies breakfasts and camps, prisons and schools in Southern Africa.

Every year Oscar ministers internationally at churches in Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, South Carolina and elsewhere in the USA. Oscar has also ministered in Perth, Australia during October 2003. Oscar's music is also heard on Christian Radio Stations in New Zealand. Oscar recently had a very successful ministry tour in Canada during May 2009 as well as blessed ministry in USA during October 2009.

Oscar is an active member of the Gideons International in South Africa. During 1988 he was part of the Gideons' International Extension Action Bible Placement to Brazil and he has attended two International Conventions in the USA.

He was a part time presenter on the National Radio station,Radio Pulpit, for 12 years for the programs Music with a Message, Mosaic, Spectrum and Into Thy Presence.

To date Oscar Music Ministries has recorded and released eighteen solo albums and two DVD's - one recorded at Macon Road Baptist church,Memphis, Tennessee, USA during a service and the other a compilation of original songs by Oscar played to the background of beautiful photography of,inter alia, the Drakensberg in KZN.  The latest CD/album is a double CD.  CD1 was recorded in the USA during October 2010.  Gospel Favourites, Vol 2   has CD2 as a bonus CD , which is a compilation of songs previously recorded on CD's  no longer available.   Oscar's  catalogue includes the following albums:
